2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Review near Staten Island NY

Sansone Hyundai – 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Review near Staten Island NY

The upcoming 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is one of the most highly anticipated Hyundai vehicles ever, and drivers in and near Staten Island New York who’d like to own theirs as soon as possible can now preorder it through Sansone Hyundai. The new Santa Fe is a model that we get a lot of questions about, and this early 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe review is an opportunity to share with you what we know thus far. That said, be mindful that this vehicle is still in preproduction and that details are subject to change.

Interior

The Santa Fe has always been a three-row vehicle, but one of the most important differences with the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is that the third row now provides enough headroom and legroom to accommodate adults. It’s not just bigger than the previous model but bigger than all of its competitors. Second-row captain’s chairs are likely optional, and both the front bucket seats and optional second-row bucket seats can lean backward to a nearly flat position. We say likely because the option has been confirmed for the Korean market but not the U.S. market, but we’d be very surprised if it didn’t make it over here.

Exterior

The new exterior design has received the bulk of the attention when it comes to the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. It’s even drawn comparisons to a certain Land Rover model, which is a far cry from the more traditional car-based aesthetic of past Santa Fe models. The wheelbase and overall length have been extended a bit. This was necessary to allow for the added legroom mentioned above. Despite this, the Santa Fe is still not as long as the Palisade. But what’s interesting is that if you measure the Santa Fe and Palisade from their dashboards to their tailgates, they’re the same.

Mechanical

We expect that push-button start, proximity keyless entry, and remote start will all be standard equipment. But this has not yet been confirmed, and with past models, you had to choose the up-level trim to get those features. Trailering equipment is once again optional. It will be included with the off-road-themed XRT trim. Maximum towing capacity has not been announced as of this early 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe review. However, we would be surprised if it did not at least match the previous model at 3,500 pounds and wouldn’t be surprised if it exceeded it.

Powertrain

The four-cylinder engine that had been standard previously has been retired. The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that had been optional is now standard. Sansone Hyundai customers in and near Staten Island New York will also have the option of a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter turbo four. Both models will have an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. We suspect that front-wheel drive will be standard with the base engine and that all-wheel drive will be optional with the base engine and standard with the hybrid.

Safety

The infotainment system will feature dual 12.3-inch touch screens. Most driver-assistance technologies will be standard, so this will be an upgrade from the previous gen. It required you to choose the SEL trim with the Premium package to get the bulk of those features. Expected options include a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and an automated parking system. All Santa Fe models will also get the new Hyundai steering wheel, which provides haptic feedback for the driver assists.
