2020 Hyundai Palisade vs. 2020 GMC Acadia

The search is over for drivers on the hunt for a mid-size SUV with plenty of space for the whole family. The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is available in three trim levels – SE, SEL, and Limited. Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, which is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available as an upgrade. Seating space isn’t an issue, thanks to a seven-passenger capacity with second-row captain’s chairs that can be replaced with bench seating for even more passengers. Safety is a top priority thanks to standard and available features like forward collision warning with automatic braking, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and blind-spot collision-avoidance assist. Keeping connected to your world comes easy with Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™, second row and available third-row USB ports, and wireless charging.

The 2020 GMC Acadia is also a mid-size SUV that can seat up to seven and comes in a variety of trims – SL, SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine generates 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Like the Hyundai Palisade, all-wheel drive is available. Unfortunately, adaptive cruise control is not standard, meaning that this model is just a little less intelligent than its rival, and a little less fun to drive on the highway.
